Gretchen Lansing, LMT, BCTMB, AMTA
In 1992 I attended the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Newington, CT. Two years later I moved back home to Lake George and began working at The Sagamore Spa in Bolton Landing, NY. After a few years I moved to Lake Placid and began working out of The Lily Pad. Lucky for me my next adventure in massage was going on tour with Shania Twain, driving her horse trailer and giving her massages. After some time I decided to set up roots in LP and I opened an office out of my home, called Clouds Above Massage. During my 10 years at Clouds Above Massage, I became captain of the Ironman massage tent for 8 years, worked on the Canadian Olympic and World Champion Freestyle Ski Jumping team and I taught massage therapy at the North Country Community College massage therapy program where I had 12 graduates study under my licensure.
My house started to get smaller with a baby crawling around so I moved my business to Balanced Bodywork & Massage. I worked at BBM for nearly 4 years with many professionals and adding 5 more graduates under my license.
For the last nine years I have been working with all the incredible athletes at the Olympic Training Center specifically the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Teams. I was selected to join the bobsled and skeleton teams in Europe for two years in a row. And then if that wasn't special enough I was I asked to join them in Sochi, Russia for the winter 2014 Olympics and PyeongChang, South Korea 2018 Olympics for massage. I have also traveled with the USA Women's Hockey Team.
I Had a great time working with the USPOC in Beijing for the 2022 winter Olympics.
LEAD AESTHETICIAN
I am Rebecca Wolford. I have been a passionate massage therapist for 25 years. I went to school in New Mexico and practiced many years under a chiropractor and in physical therapy. I also have a Bachelors in Exercise Physiology from the University of New Mexico and am a Licensed Esthetics Professional in NY. I hold a NY Massage License and have been National Certified since 1992. La Stone Therapy, the original hot and cold stone massage is my specialty. Vascular gymnastics is a healing tool. Heat assists by flushing tissue with healing blood and cold draws out inflammation facilitating healing. SASTM and other myofascial release techniques are part of my skill set. Cranial Sacral, Trigger, Neuromuscular, Reiki, cupping and many more modalities are part of my arsenal to incorporate into any treatment plan. Working with people who are managing pain or orthopedic challenges has been my primary practice. I also teach foam roller release techniques and perform personal fitness training in the comfort of your home. The body is an amazing machine which we use and abuse. Self care is vital to maintaining function. Exercise, massage and other forms of alternative treatments can assist you in performing any activity you desire without leaving your muscles in a bind.
In 1998 I received my license and started my career in cosmetology. After several years of enhancing my clients beauty I decided to go back to school to learn massage. In 2003, I went to the Finger Lakes School of Massage to further my education and became a licensed massage therapist. Once I graduated I was offered a position at a spa in Clifton Park. Home sick and ready for change, I moved back home and worked at Speedy Spa with Claire Doyle. After 7 years working for Claire I took some time to raise my children.
Fast forward 5 years and 5 children, I missed massage and wanted to start up again. Thank you to Gretchen and Healing Elements for giving me this opportunity. I work with a lot of great therapists in a great town.
My modalities are, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Reflexology, pregnancy massage, and skin care.

Dawn Tonneau, LMT, MBA, MSW Myofascial Release (MFR) Therapy
Dawn is a graduate of the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in Albany, NY. Prior to Massage Therapy, Dawn enjoyed careers as a Mental Healthcare Administrator, Kindermusik Teacher, Consultant, and Bookkeeper. She holds an MBA from Union College, and an MSW from the SUNY Albany School of Social Welfare. Dawn enrolled in massage therapy school because of her personal experience with how effective therapeutic massage is for chronic issues, her fascination with biology, and a desire to share this art/science with others.
Dawn’s practice features the John F. Barnes method of Myofascial Release (MFR), in which she has earned advanced certification. Dawn offers exclusively MFR sessions, making her a great choice for people interested in exploring this area of therapy. That said, an MFR session with Dawn may also include fascial mobilization using MFR, Trigger-Point Therapy, Manual Cupping, and on-table Shiatsu and Thai techniques.
Dawn enjoys providing MFR, where the approach is equally gentle, and deep in reaching into the affected areas. MFR’s relaxing approach makes it effective for a wide variety of soft tissue issues. In her practice, she enjoys working with people who have work- and sports-related muscle problems, daily living postural problems, people suffering from neck and rotator-cuff issues, sore and stiff hips, issues related to neuromuscular conditions such as fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis and early Parkinson’s disease, and internal and external scarring from surgery or physical trauma. Dawn also enjoys out-of-the-office events for athletes, and has provided massage to local races, including the IronMan in Lake Placid, the Tour of the Battenkill, and the Cherry Blossom Festival 5K Race for ALS.

Have Courage & Be Kind
Relaxation Specialist
Leaving the world of technology behind, I was drawn to the nurturing and caring of humanity through body, mind, and spirit. In awe of the creation of the human body and the human mind both integrated with the spirit of life as in the Holy Spirit, I felt drawn to nurturing and caring all mentioned for optimal health. Also being a lifelong athlete, I bring this experience into my massage practice from a variety of athletic participatory events, including being a 5-time Ironman participant (including Hawaii), marathon runner (including the Boston Marathon), being an ADK 46’er, martial arts, nordic skiing (Kort-Loppet), and more.
After leaving the engineering world and then earning a certified secondary mathematics certification, I was educated and worked as a licensed NYS LPN (1993) and most recently graduated from NCCC as a massage therapist (2014). I have worked at the Element Day Spa and Salon in Lake Placid and Ampersand Spa at the Hotel Saranac (current). I also work with abuse survivors during week long retreats (Grief to Grace) involving healing and safe touch through chair massage. I also volunteer at athletic events, such as the Ironman massage tent.
The modalities used in my art of massage include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Reflexology, and pregnancy massage. Each treatment is specialized according to the needs of the massage recipient. Healthy touch is healing touch.
